Shareware in essense is "Try Before You Buy" software. This means you can download a trial version to evaluate. This trial version normally has restrictions or limitations. In the case of Seahorse Software products, the limitations are the lack of ability to save the game state when you leave the program. Other than that, you have the ability to demo all of the features. After trying the program, if you find you enjoy and use the program a lot, then you normally pay the registration fee. Else, all that is lost is a little bit a time to try the program.
The benefits of registering include:
- Updates to the product(s) registered are FREE for the life of the product.
- You have access to beta versions of the registered product(s).
- Promotes improvement of the product and development of new products.
- Gives you a warm, fuzzy, feeling inside. (Results may vary)
