(Top) The price in the readme file is different than on the
web sites. Why the difference?
In 2004, Seahorse Software was forced to raise the prices of most products due to the rising
costs of doing business on the internet. This was the first across-the-board price increase in
over 7 years. We regret having to raise thr prices, but with the old ones it was not feasible to
continue selling the products. The readme files will be updated when new versions of the
programs are released (due to the massive undertaking to update all readme files on all web
sites). The major web sites that sell our products (our store, PalmGear, and Handango) will
always have the correct prices listed. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
(Top) I purchased one or more programs from your on-line
store, but never received my registration
codes. What now?
The most likely reason for this is due to your e-mail address being entered incorrect. Simply
send an e-mail to support@seahorsesoft.com with
your name, correct e-mail address, and approximate date of ordering. We shall do our best to get
things straightened out. Also, all registration codes are sent by e-mail, there is no physical
product shipped to you.
(Top) I purchased a CD that contains your applications on
it (like a 200+ collection), and the
programs are unregistered. Why do I still have to register?
Software collections like the one you purchased are meant only as a way for a customer to find a
lot of programs conveniently placed on a CD. There is no fee Seahorse Software collects from the
CD maker, my only benefit from it is the possible exposure to new customers.
When companies ask for permission to include Seahorse Software products on a CD, we try to
impress on them that the package needs to let the customer know that they are receiving
shareware. Most companies do a decent job of this, but it is known that some don't. If you feel
that you were mis-lead by the product, then it is suggested voicing it to the producer of the CD.
That is the only way they will understand the need for clarity. Sorry for the confusion.
(Top) I have lost my registration code. Do I have to
repay?
No, once you have registered for a program, you are registered for the life of that program. If
you have lost your registration code, just send an e-mail to support@seahorsesoft.com with your name, e-mail
address, and
program(s) for which you need the registration code(s) again. The registered user information
will be resent after your original registration has been verified.
(Top) I can't "UnZip/UnStuff" the files. Now
what?
For windows users, you can use a program like WinZip to
extract the .prc files from the .zip files.
For the .sit files, Aladdin Systems offers a Stuffit
Expander for both the Mac and Windows platforms.
(Top) Where do I enter my registration code I
received?
If you have not downloaded and installed the shareware version of the program to your Palm
OS® handheld device, then please do so by getting the application from the Seahorse Software main page. There is
no separate registered version.
Start the program on your Palm OS® device. Tap OK to the shareware screen. Then tap the menu
silkscreen button, then under the Options menu, select the "Enter Registration Code"
item. This is where you enter your registration code.
(Top) What devices can Seahorse Software products run
on?
Seahorse Software programs will not run on "PC's" or
"Mac's". They are intended only for Palm OS® handheld devices. If you are unsure
about wether the application will run on your device, please ask before purchasing.
Currently, Seahorse Software products will run on any handheld device using Palm OS®. If
you have a specific question about a device, please e-mail support@seahorsesoft.com.
(Top) My question is not answered here, whom do I
contact?
You can send all questions to support@seahorsesoft.com.
